It’s amazing, in this mirror love
We’re holding on by the moment
It’s amazing, in this mirror love
Who we wanna be
Who we’re gonna be
Flash, spark
All of the times you broke my heart
Start
With each time we’re laughing
Well we fall apart when there’s no one around
And we’re moving off to a dying sound
We’re all just passengers waiting here to go down
Screaming, “Give me what I need!
Just give me what I need!”
It’s amazing, in this mirror love
We’re holding on by the moment
It’s amazing, in this mirror love
Who we wanna be
Who we’re gonna be
Stay back it isn’t safe,
Keep your heart intact,
Keep your eyes away
Cause we’re a mighty howl
We’re a body at bay
Screaming, Give us what we need!
Oh, just give us what we need!
But you fall apart when there’s no one around
And you’re moving off to a dying sound
You’re just a passenger waiting here to go down
Screaming, Give me what I need!
Oh, just give me what I need!
“Stay back,” the people say
It’s the same old fire, but the violence is growing
It’s amazing, in this mirror love
We’re holding on by the moment
It’s amazing, in this mirror love
We’re holding on by the moment
Well, we fall apart when there’s no one around
And we were moving off to a dying sound
We’re all just passengers waiting here to go down
Screaming, Give me what I need!
Oh, just give me what I need!
It’s amazing, in this mirror love
We’re holding on by the moment
It’s amazing, in this mirror love
We’re holding on by the moment
Oh, there will come a time when there’s no one around
‘Cause we were moving off to a dying sound
We’re all just passengers waiting here to go down
Screaming, Give me what I need!
Oh, just give me what I need!
Based in San Francisco, The Family Crest blends genres and dense orchestrations to create a sweeping musical landscape while maintaining a pop sensibility.
it's such a beautiful album of grieving and loss and acceptance. it speaks to a particular kind of grief -- not a grieving of one who is lost, but the grieving for one who is still present and still causing pain. i love the last song most because while it could end in pain, or end with the narrators decision to permanently push this person out of their life and that would be justified, it doesn't. instead, it offers something. what is offered? acceptance. hope. and a chance for redemption janmisha
